The unofficial cultural centre of Barga -- Da Aristo bar in Barga Vecchia is not just a place to sit down and relax but it is also at the very heart of a vibrant working community.
Today was one of those times when work and relaxation combined as somebody brought into the piazza a chainsaw that needed some work on re sharpening the blunted chain.
Somebody turned up with a small file and within minutes after expert advice from many of those sitting at the tables, the chainsaw was being sorted and swiftly put back into action.
As the sound of the chainsaw starting up broke the silence in the piazza, one or two visitors to Barga sitting at nearby tables looked up with a look of slight alarm on their faces but quickly realised that it was just another day in the piazza, business as usual, nothing to be alarmed about.
