The ever energetic Paolo Gas has today really surpassed himself with what could only be described as the longest “just popping out for some lunch, dear ” as he and four of his regulars left the Paolo Gas Bar on the Fosso in Barga early this morning in search on a decent fish meal.
Nineteen hours later they were back in Barga after a round trip of a few thousand kilometres after boarding a flight at Pisa and for a few brief hours enjoying all the culinary delights that Palermo in Sicily could offer before once again boarding a flight back up the country to Pisa and then onto Barga.
Paolo posted images of the epic round trip on Facebook to which many people enjoyed posting their comments, probably the most humorous from Billy Connell who posted that according to him it was “Last of the summer wine on tour”
