A packed Palazzo Pancrazi in Barga Vecchio this morning was the scene for the official ceremony for an emotional Chief of the Barga Carabinieri, Luogotenente Claudio Del Carlo who from the 1st of January this year is now in retirement after 25 years of service to the community.
Speaker after speaker thanked Luogotenente Claudio Del Carlo for his service to Barga and its population, leaving the man at the end of the ceremony, uncharacteristically without words and with a pair of unmistakably moist eyes.
