The band name comes from Franz Reichelt (1879-1912), an Austrian-born French tailor, parachuting pioneer, known as “the Flying Tailor”.
He believed so much in his idea that he tested his invention, a ‘suit for aviators’ – a primordial kind of a parachute – on himself. Despite attempts by his friends and spectators to dissuade him, he jumped from the Tour Eiffel wearing his invention and he went straight to the ground.
But he believed.
