Back in May of 2014 there was movement in the Piazza Garibaldi in Barga Vecchia with a photographer and various models being photographed up against the yellow wall of the Palazzo Balduini.
Each day a different model – it was hard for the casual observer to work out just why they are being photographed as it couldn’t be for their beauty as at least two of them, and maybe three were downright “beauty challenged”
Some were obviously musicians, others were artists, others their role in life less clear but all had one thing in common – they had caught the eye of the photographer Stefano Tommasi and he was determined to capture their image using some old technology – black and white photographs using a Polaroid land camera 250.
The Polaroid Land Camera was named after its inventor, Edwin Land and were manufactured and sold between 1963 and 1976.
It introduced the world to the idea of instant photography and, in some regard, paved the way for the modern era of instant digital gratification.
The camera is stil around and working but these days the problem is finding the Polaroid film … and also the cost – not cheap these days.

Tutti con una dote comune:saper donare agli altri un’arte e quindi,un’emozione.
Uno scatto ciascuno,nel medesimo luogo,con la medesima luce (possibilmente),con la medesima macchina fotografica ( Polaroid land camera 250,pellicola b&w fuji ).
Stefano’s work has now been finally completed, framed and installed and can be seen inside the Locanda di Mezzo in Barga Vecchia.
