Technicians were busy this week checking the walls of the centuries old Duomo here in Barga trying to find out the exact location of a hole or crack somewhere on the front wall which was allowing rainwater to seep into the stonework causing damp patches and even forming large puddles on the inside of the Duomo during heavy rain.
Investigations are still taking place as so far it has been very difficult to pinpoint the exact site of the problem.
