La fiaccolata natalizia in vespa e moto per le vie di Barga
The 10th annual torchlight motorbike and vespa procession was held this evening in Barga with dozens of bikes, vespas and mopeds taking part in the night time tour of the city.
The torchlight procession has been cancelled in the past because of terrible weather conditions but this evening all was ready, prepared and they could not have asked for better weather conditions – 9 degrees out there – on a December evening up in the mountains that is bordering on a heatwave.
The start, as usual was in Piazza Matteotti (A.K.A piazza FIAT ) with a blessing by Don Stefano – the riders and their machines then left in noisy procession down to the sports field, up past the swimming pool and back into Barga Giardino before entering Barga Vecchia by the main gate, up to the road below the Duomo before leaving Barga Vecchia once again by the main gate at Porta Reale.
