The Macelleria “Casci”, the butcher’s shop and L’Arsenale Agriristoro, (well known in the area for home cooking at 0km) run by the Casci family can both be found at Arsenale just outside Barga.
But when entering the shop there is surprise which never fails to bring a smile to the lips of new visitors – the quite simply enormous collection of toy pigs now threatening to take over the whole place.
They can be found on every surface, every shelf and completely filling one of the large fridges … hundreds and hundreds of smiling piggy faces.
People now send the Casci family pigs from around the world to add to the 2400 already in the collection.
