So all through February it looked as though the snow has going to fall. It got closer. It definitely did fall in large amounts just on the other side of the mountain but for some reason it refused to drop on Barga.
That is, until February finished and March arrived and with it the snow finally did drop from the sky and Barga woke up to 15 cm of snow.
More fell during the day, schools in the area were all closed, snow ploughs were out but as darkness fell the temperature rose and the rain came down.
All eyes are now on the thermometers to see if the temperature drops during the night because if that happens all that wet snow will turned to ice and moving around will get difficult once again.
