The spring clean up which started yesterday on the walls and gardens above Parco Kennedy (article here) today moved down into the park itself and by the end of the day, truckloads of vegetation had been removed and a whole new vista revealed.
Large portions of the surrounding wall of Barga Vecchia have now come to the surface revealing ancient stones which are not seen the real light of day for probably generations.
The volunteers from the Pro Loco have now cleared a huge area from the bridge across to the ancient aqueduct which is now showing an additional arch that had been hidden by ivy, shrubs and trees.
