For many months now, the sign on the door has said “opening soon” and for most of those months people have been wondering what was going to open in what was once the Gallery Marzocco and how long was actually “soon” ?
Both questions were answered this weekend as the OXO collection Gallery opened its doors and invited people in to see the transformation.
What people have remembered of a red and green space jam packed full of paintings and antiques had now been totally renovated and turned into an open well lit, white space contemporary art gallery which many people expressed surprise at the actual size of the gallery. Somehow it seemed much larger that they remembered.
Eight artists were showing their work in the new space – Fabrizio DA PRATO, Roberto GIANSANTI, Fabio MAESTRELLI, Giorgia MADIAI, Luigi PAOLINI, Nicola SALOTTI, KEANE and Stefano TOMMASI.
The OXO collection was now opened to the public containing figurative paintings, sculpture, installation, photographs and print with more media to be added shortly which would include video art and film
