The enforced isolation due to the coronavirus has emptied the streets and piazzas of Barga, with the few people venturing out to buy food or medicine with face masks making any human contact very difficult.
But the need for that contact was brought into sharp relief this week when an image was put up on facebook and other social networks with the hashtag #lockdownselfie.

Over the next 24 hours hundreds of people logged onto that post and added their own selfie.
