Le Piazzette 2026 di Barga opened this evening transforming the historic centre into a network of open-air venues dedicated to live music, food, art and community life.
Organised by Pro Loco Barga and the Comune di Barga, with the support of local associations and businesses, the festival will continue every evening for eleven consecutive nights. Piazzas, gardens and some of the most atmospheric corners of Barga Vecchia became meeting places where visitors could eat, listen to music and explore the cultural life of the city.
There were several changes for the 2026 edition. Piazzetta Penarol, organised by Atletico Penarol Filecchio, moved to the Bastione and Fosso area because of work taking place in Piazza delle Mura. G. Summer, organised by Barga’s Third Category football team Giesse Barga, also found a new home, moving from Via della Fontana to Parco Kennedy.
Elsewhere, Bruskettando returned to Piazza del Teatro with the Goshin-Do Karate association, while Amatori Castelvecchio once again created Sunset Beach in the Misericordia gardens below Piazza San Felice.
The Gatti Randagi presented their Piazzette Randagie between the terraces of the Stanze della Memoria and the gardens of the former Asilo Donnini. Below the Duomo, parish volunteers welcomed visitors back to Vignola, one of the festival’s best-known and most popular locations.
The bars and restaurants of Barga Vecchia also took part with their own menus, music and evening entertainment. These included Scacciaguai, Trattoria L’Altana, L’Osteria, Da Alfonso, Caffè Capretz, Fuori dal Comune, Da Aristo, Caffè La Volta, Ristorante Giro di Boa, Wine Not!, Bolla, Momenti di Vino, Bar Certe Nottiand the Pizzeria Indie.
Live music remained at the heart of Le Piazzette – the opening night featured Malaucas at Penarol, Guerrieri della Notte at Piazzetta Randagia, Thunder at Bruskettando, Rum 06 at G. Summer, Area 21 at Sunset Beach and Almost Famous in Piazza Annunziata.

Le Piazzette was not limited to food and music. The festival also encouraged visitors to discover the galleries, exhibitions, museums and other cultural spaces of Barga Vecchia, making the historic centre itself an essential part of the event.
A shuttle bus operated every evening from 7 pm until midnight, connecting parking areas near the sports grounds and other locations outside the centre with the different entrances to Barga Vecchia.

Le Piazzette di Barga 2026 hanno preso il via questa sera, trasformando il centro storico in una rete di spazi all’aperto dedicati alla musica dal vivo, alla gastronomia, all’arte e alla vita comunitaria.
Organizzata dalla Pro Loco Barga e dal Comune di Barga, con il sostegno delle associazioni e delle attività locali, la manifestazione proseguirà ogni sera per undici serate consecutive. Piazze, giardini e alcuni degli angoli più suggestivi di Barga Vecchia sono diventati luoghi di incontro dove mangiare, ascoltare musica e scoprire la vita culturale della città.
Diverse le novità dell’edizione 2026. Piazzetta Penarol, organizzata dall’Atletico Penarol Filecchio, si è trasferita nella zona del Bastione e del Fosso a causa dei lavori in corso in Piazza delle Mura. Anche G. Summer, organizzata dal Giesse Barga ha trovato una nuova sede, spostandosi da Via della Fontana al Parco Kennedy.

Bruskettando è invece tornato in Piazza del Teatro con l’associazione Goshin-Do Karate, mentre gli Amatori Castelvecchio hanno ricreato ancora una volta Sunset Beach negli orti della Misericordia, sotto Piazza San Felice.
I Gatti Randagi hanno presentato le loro Piazzette Randagie tra le terrazze delle Stanze della Memoria e i giardini dell’ex Asilo Donnini. Sotto il Duomo, i volontari della Parrocchia hanno nuovamente accolto i visitatori alla Vignola, uno dei luoghi più conosciuti e frequentati della manifestazione.
Anche i bar e i ristoranti di Barga Vecchia hanno partecipato con i propri menù, musica e intrattenimento serale. Tra questi Scacciaguai, Trattoria L’Altana, L’Osteria, Da Alfonso, Caffè Capretz, Fuori dal Comune, Da Aristo, Caffè La Volta, Ristorante Giro di Boa, Wine Not!, Bolla, Momenti di Vino, Bar Certe Notti e Pizzeria Indie.
La musica dal vivo è rimasta al centro delle Piazzette. La serata inaugurale ha visto esibirsi i Malaucas al Penarol, i Guerrieri della Notte alla Piazzetta Randagia, i Thunder a Bruskettando, i Rum 06 alla G. Summer, gli Area 21 a Sunset Beach e gli Almost Famous in Piazza Annunziata.
Le Piazzette, tuttavia, non si sono limitate alla gastronomia e alla musica. La manifestazione ha invitato i visitatori a scoprire anche le gallerie, le mostre, i musei e gli altri spazi culturali di Barga Vecchia, rendendo il centro storico stesso una parte essenziale dell’evento.
Un servizio di bus navetta sarà attivo ogni sera dalle 19 fino a mezzanotte, collegando i parcheggi nei pressi degli impianti sportivi e le altre aree di sosta esterne al centro con i diversi accessi a Barga Vecchia.
