Back in May of this year we published an article (here) without any accompanying text but just a series of images showing the trees at Barga Giardino.
Two of those trees have since been cut down and removed as renovations of the Barga Giardino area are still taking place but for Mario Sartini all was not lost.
He managed to obtain some of the wood from those trees and spent the next three months carving and decorating and this week is now proudly presenting his work in his small shop just by the bridge between Barga Vecchia and Barga Giardino.
