| The
Rat Band from Lucca once more descended on poor defenceless Barga . The Barga Jazz Club was filled with the thumping sound of the men from Lucca in full flow. Alessandro Rizzardi on sax and Andrea Mazzucchi on keyboards where there fighting the fight but this time there was a reply from the Barga musicians as Geoff and Jack from the blues band “Una per la Strada” stood up and held their corner until just when it looked as though the battle was going to be lost after all, into the breach stepped a masked musician; non other than Silvano Togneri and a rousing version of Yuppy Du which brought the evening to its glorious climax. |
