The bells ring out and the lights are switched on
This evening all across Barga could be heard the sound of "Il Doppio" the bells in the duomo being rung by teams of bell ringers to celebrate tommorows national holiday and also to mark the official start of the christmas season with the switching on of all the christmas lights in the city. about time!
We've had our plastic decorations up in the main shopping centre since the end of september. christmas comes but once a year...so you might as well make it seem to last for at least for months. otherwise, what's the point?
