Sometimes the borderline between what is perceived as art and artigianale can get blurred. Without a doubt it is the intention behind the work that makes the difference but quite often the final products can sit quite happily in both camps.
Sometimes the borderline between what is perceived as art and artigianale can get blurred. Without a doubt it is the intention behind the work that makes the difference but quite often the final products can sit quite happily in both camps.
Such is the case this week when Giuseppina Roni exhibited her work in the Barga Gallery. Giuseppina herself describes her work as decorations but her formidable artistic talent is not to be ignored.
To describe an art piece as decorative is almost as damning as calling it “interesting” but surely not in this case.
Handmade fabric flowers, hanging decorations for curtains and picture frames  and even decorated slippers all jostle for space in the gallery and are all the sum of the artistic work of Giuseppina.
The exhibition remains open daily from 11 to 12. 30 and from 4 to 5 until Christmas
