One of the things that visitors to Barga work out fairly quickly is that locally you don’t need much of an excuse to start a celebration of some kind. Some of them are pretty bizarre after all … anybody remember the first traditional cherry festival?
But the celebrations taking place this afternoon in the sports stadium had every reason to exist and to be celebrated to the full.
The Gatti Randagi were 20 years old today. What started as a group of friends who were interested in football and motorbikes and gradually turned into a very successful and flourishing amateur football team and social club celebrated in style their 20th year in existence.
Non era facile da immaginare qualche anno fa ma, grazie al contributo di tanti, ci siamo arrivati… i Gatti Randagi quest’anno festeggiano il ventesimo compleanno!!!
Crediamo che sia il caso di fare una grande festa bianco-verde con tutti quelli che hanno contribuito a far crescere, non solo una squadra di calcio, ma soprattutto un gruppo di Amici. Sarà una bellissima occasione per ritrovarsi a raccontare le mille storie che ci hanno visti protagonisti in questi venti anni. La festa si terrà presso lo stadio “J. Moscardini” di Barga sabato 11 giugno 2011.
Il programma va ancora definito nei dettagli, ma sicuramente ci sarà da:
– ore 16: esibizione calcistica seguita da una piccola merenda;
– ore 20: cena biancoverde con un bel sottofondo musicale.
Abbiamo intenzione di allestire una piccola mostra, quindi sarebbe bello tirare fuori anche vecchi cimeli come foto, maglie, articoli di giornale ed altro che parlano dei nostri primi venti anni. Chiediamo quindi l’aiuto di tutti coloro che possiedono qualcosa che rigurda la storia dei Gatti, naturalmente sarà nostra cura restituire tutto il materiale che sarà messo a disposizione. – more on their site here
