Clouds over the Appenino mountains to the North behind Barga this afternoon gave a dramatic backdrop to the tiny village of Sommocolonia and as can be seen in the video below the classic “cavallone della tramontana” was occasionally pushing out across the valley in burst of fast moving cloud formations.
One of natures spectacular shows of strength but one best seen from a distance as the wind speeds up behind Sommocolonia would have made life a little difficult for anybody up on the mountainside.
