Nostalgia seems to be the key word at the moment. People seem to be having problems facing the future and so start to look back at the past with slightly more rosy viewpoint. The recent concert in Piazza Angelio (article here) with the group Emma e gli Aristodemos’s where the music was predominantly from the 40s and 50s in being a good case in point. The piazza was filled for that occasion. Thinking about it, also the recent wedding of two members of Emma e gli Aristodemos’s was also celebrated in style from 50 to 60 years ago (article here) .
This afternoon comes news of yet another “blast from the past” but this time somewhat closer to modern day.
The Barga tennis club have organised a three-day tournament at the tennis court here in Barga using tennis rackets and sportswear from the 70s and 80s.
Nell’ultimo giorno di gioco il gruppo C formato da Luisa Vivarelli – Giosé Casci – Cesare Lunardi – Adriano – Bigiarini – Barbara Bianchini (nella foto) è riuscito a staccarsi dagli altri con un meritato vantaggio di 2 punti aggiudicandosi vincitori del 1° torneo “Racchette di legno” !
